This sauce is pretty simple really...great tomatoes, onion, garlic and some extra virgin olive oil all gently simmered for over 2 hours and finished with a little fresh lemon zest to give it an extra zing. The depth of flavour and natural sweetness of the tomatoes and onion make this sauce an absolute classic.

Our Classic Napoletana is great with any pasta, especially tagliatelle and you can add many different ingredients to experiment (salami, fresh basil, meatballs etc). It also can be used as a base for a range of dishes including grilled meats and prawns.
